Questions about pricing
Are these prices final?
The calculator gives you an accurate figure for a standard build of that shape. It is confirmed in writing after the first call, once I know what the project actually involves, and that written figure is what you pay.
The only thing that changes it is you changing the scope.
What does '+ VAT where applicable' mean?
The company is UK-registered. Whether VAT is added depends on where your business is based and whether you are VAT-registered. For most business clients inside the EU the reverse charge applies and no VAT is added.
You will see the exact treatment on your quote before you commit.
Is there anything not included?
Three things. Domain registration and renewal, which stays in your name. Stock photography or video, if you want licensed material rather than free-licence assets. And any third-party subscription your site depends on — a payment gateway's fees, for example.
Everything else in your quote is inclusive.
What if I need something not on the list?
Ask. The modules cover what most projects need, but custom functionality gets quoted on the same basis — a fixed figure agreed before work starts, not an hourly rate that runs.
Do you take on maintenance for sites you did not build?
Sometimes. It depends on how the site was built and whether I can support it responsibly. A code-built site is usually straightforward; a WordPress install with forty plugins usually is not, and I would be doing you a disservice by pretending otherwise.
Send the URL and you will get an honest answer either way.
Tell me what you are trying to sell
Thirty minutes, no pitch deck. You describe the business, I tell you what I would build, roughly what it costs, and whether it is worth doing at all.
